Just waiting

How am I spending my time before being shipped off to Ecuador??

Working out is a big part of it. I've never been a gym buff AT ALL. In fact, I hated the idea of being in a gym and pumping iron. So mundane! But since I've had loads of free time after graduating, I figured I should lose a few pounds (9 and still counting), so I started kickboxing and doing yoga. I've been sick for the past week and a half so I haven't been to the gym in a whole week. But starting today, I'll get back into the swing of things.

My usual workout schedule:
Tuesday: kickboxing, yoga
Wednesday: kickboxing, yoga
Thursday: kickboxing, yoga
Friday: kickboxing
Saturday: kickboxing

Yep. That's pretty much what my life has revolved around. It wasn't like that in the beginning. In fact, if I started with that aforementioned schedule, I'm sure I would've died. But since January 27, I've worked up to that point and it's great.

Honestly, there's not much else to do in the area and I don't have any friends around. But that's cool. I'm getting in shape again :)

Apparently scuba diving classes are starting at a nearby scuba school April 1st, and I've always wanted to learn. Hopefully next time I blog, I'll have some scuba stories. *fingers crossed*

¡Cuerpo de Paz en junio!

Good grief. I hope I get better at this blog thing!

I have no idea how long it's been since I've blogged but I'm really gonna try to keep up with it this time haha...

Especially since I'm joining the Peace Corps Ecuador in June! I'll be a TEFL volunteer!
I'm really excited about it. Not apprehensive at all, as I thought I might have been when the time came closer. But alas, it's already March and my smile just gets wider.

I'm pretty much ready to go. Ready to teach English. Ready to learn Spanish. Ready to live life in Ecuador.
Trying to keep my mind open and not create any fantasies about what this experience will be/what will happen.

It's going to be a great ride. Full of the unknown, challenges, and adventures :)

Bring it on!

Oh yea, I'm not in Japan anymore. Graduated with a degree in Communications in August and I've been back home ever since, traveling around. Visiting friends and family, doing random things on the east and west coasts. No job, and I had no desire to get one, haha... Just been learning to do stuff (brushing up on Spanish, sewing, kickboxing, yoga, skydiving, blah blah blah).

Well, until next time!
